A Historic Adelaida Estate
Halter Ranch was established as a winery in 2000 when Hansjorg Wyss purchased the property and named it for his mother, Alice Halter. The land itself dates to an 1880 homestead, and the estate now produces Bordeaux and Rhone-style wines from its own vineyards.
The 2,700-acre property in the Adelaida District blends working ranch and modern winery, with a restored 1880s farmhouse and a covered bridge on the grounds. Tastings are seated, with flights and lunch served at the estate.
